Thought I'd elaborate on the collarbone rumor i tweeted at you earlier.

A guy I talk to at the forum is friends with the cop who works the lightning bench, and he hears all the talk that gets thrown around in that area.

Take it for what it's worth. Hope it's wrong, but looks as if it really is the worst case scenario at this point.

Based on how he looked, that sort of injury wouldn't surprise me. I don't think it was a wrist issue. Looked more like shoulder or collarbone.

My first thought was that he dislocated his shoulder pretty bad.

maybe should have thought about playing it safe...wouldnt have happened if lindback was given a chance and bishop was allowed to rest

Yeah that was my initial reaction too. Especially when I saw how he looked after getting up.

I texted to my friend who works for the Lightning, I asked and this was his response, "Not good don't expect him anytime soon." I asked was it wrist, elbow, shoulder and he texted "Shoulder area can't say more". So with that and what I have seen in replays I think norbs is right and its a broken collarbone or dislocated shoulder.

Such a crazy season, only going to get crazier. I hope Lindback can step up and prove he belongs.

Erik Erlendsson said Salo said he was "good" but no status update for Thursday

Then likely just something minor. Good news.

You know the old saying "the bigger they are...the harder they fall" and he is a big dude and he fell pretty darn hard! I hope it's not too serious.....but it don't look too promising.

If Lindback didn't suck so (frank)ing much they could have counted on him.

Looks like a broken collarbone, which takes 4-6 weeks.

If Lindbacks last two games are any indication then perhaps we aren't TOTALLY screwed after all. I guess we will wait and see.

not to mention he needs surgery on his wrist in the offseason! they might as well shut him down and fix him up! I want him ready for next season man on time! looks like it's going to be lindback and Kristers Gudlevskis going into the first round! who would you guys go with in game # 1 vs the habs ?

I'd still play Lindback, his last two games of shown great improvement in his style and his confidence. Gudlevskis is way too young and way too green to be thrown into NHL playoffs like that! I'm thinking more than to recall Cedric Desjardins anyway.

Yeah I think the Lightning are done. Scary to think that we're all more worried about a Bishop injury than a Stamkos injury. Speaks to how valuable Bishop has been.

I'd rather have a rested Lindback than an injured, exhausted, and off-game Bishop any day of the week. I think Lindy has been judged pretty harshly this season. He faced a lot of extremely tough competition early, not to mention having a goalie coach with a different style affecting his game. This is the first effort where we've actually "earned" a win with Mr Lindback between the pipes. This is potentially, the best thing that could happen for Lindback's career. lets hope the guys give him the goal and defensive support he needs.

A lot of that criticism has been justified. There have been many games that is just absolutely sucked. Be as that as it may, he is now our last line of defense and we got to throw our support behind.

Cooper indicated a call up was coming from Syracuse, said it had been planned any way as Bishop was only going to play one more game
